Flight Plan B · Smooth Rock Media LLC · Last updated September 19, 2026

Flight Plan B is built to keep your travel data on your phone. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics trackers, and we never sell, share, or resell itineraries. Here is exactly what the app touches and where it goes. This notice is part of our Terms of Service.

The summary Nevada asks us to give you

What we collect: through Stripe, the email address and payment details you give Stripe at checkout (we see the email and a checkout ID, never the card). Through the app, only what you choose to send to the AI features: booking text or screenshots, which may include your name as ticketed, confirmation numbers, seats, hotel and rental details. Trip data you type in stays on your device and is not collected by us.

Who it goes to: Stripe (payment processing, receipts), Cloudflare (hosts our server), and Anthropic (processes AI requests). No advertisers, no data brokers, nobody else. We do not sell personal information and never have.

Third-party tracking: we do not allow any third party to collect information about your activity across websites through the app. We set no tracking cookies and run no analytics.

Review, change, or opt out: email support@flightplanb.com to ask what we hold about your purchase, correct it, delete it, or to register a do-not-sell request (we don't sell data, but the address is here as Nevada law requires). We answer within 60 days.

Changes: we post updates on this page with a new "last updated" date at the top; material changes are also noted on the app's start screen for 30 days.

What you pay and what we keep about the payment

A pass costs $15 for one round trip and unlocks the app on your phone for 30 days. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe on Stripe's own checkout page. We never see or store your card number. Stripe sends the receipt email. Our server keeps only a Stripe checkout ID and a signed unlock pass for 30 days, so the app can tell paid from unpaid. The pass is not tied to your name.

What stays on your phone

Trip details (flights, confirmation codes, seats, hotel, rental car, your name as ticketed, addresses you enter, boarding pass copies) are stored only on your device. There is no cloud copy and no sync. The trip erases itself 24 hours after your last flight departs — a "wipe now" button on the final step does it sooner. Delete the app and it is gone immediately.

Location (GPS) is used on your device, in the moment, to advance trip phases (arriving at the airport, landing at a connection) and estimate drive times. It is read only while the app is open, only after you grant permission, and it is never uploaded, logged, or stored anywhere.

Notifications are generated on your device for phase changes and boarding reminders. Nothing in them leaves the phone.

AI features (what leaves the phone, and how it is scrubbed)

Three optional features send a request through our server to an AI model provider (Anthropic): reading a confirmation email or screenshot to fill the trip form, drafting an airport playbook, and building or refreshing a Plan B ladder.

Pasted email text is redacted on your phone before it is sent. Confirmation numbers, phone numbers, email addresses, street addresses, and long account or loyalty numbers are replaced with placeholders. The model reads the placeholders and your phone puts the real values back. Passenger names have no reliable pattern and may be included in the request.

Screenshots and PDFs cannot be redacted the same way; the image is sent as-is to be read. If that bothers you, paste the text instead, or type the trip in by hand: the app works fully without the AI features.

Our server does not store the email text, screenshots, or the extracted trip after answering the request. Server logs hold only a request ID, a hashed pass ID, the airport code, the response status, and timing. The model provider processes the request under Anthropic's privacy policy. Airport playbooks contain nothing personal and are cached by airport code so they are not rebuilt for every traveler.

Each pass includes up to 20 AI lookups. Whatever is already saved on your phone keeps working after that.

Weather

Forecasts come from the U.S. National Weather Service (weather.gov) using the airport's published coordinates, not your personal location.

Airport and flight status

Ground stops and delay programs come from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration's public airport status feed. Our server asks the FAA for it and passes along the airports on your trip. When live flight status is switched on, our server asks FlightAware about your flight. In both cases what leaves our server is an airport code, a flight number and a date. Nothing about you.

Third-party links

Buttons that open Waze, Uber, Lyft, airline apps, FlightAware, Google Flights, and similar services hand you off to those services. What happens there is governed by their privacy policies.

Data deletion

Use CLEAR TRIP in the app, or uninstall the app, to remove your trip from the device. The unlock pass on our server expires by itself after 30 days. To have it removed sooner, or for a refund question, reply to your Stripe receipt email.

Children

Flight Plan B is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
